My 'Handmade' Wedding!

I really can not believe it was November that I posted my last blog entry, where has the last 7 months gone?! I guess when you are planning a wedding you get pretty busy, especially when it was only a 5 month engagement.

Anyway, I thought it was time to share some pics of the big day. I wanted our wedding day to reflect who Brad and I are as a couple, and that meant lots of handmade elements, no fuss and little formalities, spending the whole day together and enjoying a relaxing time with family and friends. Here are a few pics :)

We had some photos taken before the wedding, that way we could spend more time after with our guests, and it was a great way to relax before the ceremony! I made the love heart bunting.

I love vintage, and this was a big part of the day. I made 12mtrs of doily bunting for the ceremony and about 21mtrs of bunting in shades of red for decoraions.

I purchased my stole from Etsy, and loved it!

My bracelet was also from Etsy. It is made from silver spoons from 1924!

I made my own veil.

My mother in law made the yummy cake.

I made some mustaches and lips on a stick for some photo booth fun, and Brad made the chalk board speech bubbles for me. We asked our guests to write a message for us that I will create a 'guest book' with.

My shoes were just a bit cute!

We had such a lovely day from start to finish and although my brother Steve was missing he was there in all of our hearts!

Our professional photos were taken by the amazing Hayley Johnson. Checking out her blog is a must! You will also find some more of our wedding photos there.

Our wedding was also featured on The Wedding Chicks website! A great site for anyone planing a wedding.
