At my house...

...it was Damper Day (with out the damper) on the farm. The men built a fire to get some coals as we prepared some yummy Lamb Shanks in Red Wine in the camp ovens. This will probably be our last Damper Day for the season as the warmer Spring weather will soon be approaching.
Damper Day has been an ongoing tradition on my partners family farm since he was a child, and there are always may stories told about the children swimming in the creek in the middle of winter with their 'puddle suits' on and chickens exploding in the camp ovens. Damper use to be made and everyone would search the area for the perfect stick to mould the damper over and cook on the open fire, butter and golden syrup would be drizzled into the hole left by the stick when it was cooked...yum.
This Damper Day was extra special because it was my Nephew Harry's first day on the farm. Although he is only 7 months old I'm sure he enjoyed the fresh country air, exploring nature and lots of attention from the family!
We saw a poor little Lamb on the other side of the creek that had been separated from it's mother. The boys went over on the 4 wheeler to pick it up and take it back to the mob to try to re-connect it with it's mother, this is sometimes a hard task as some Sheep reject their young. Before taking the Lamb back to the mob the boys brought it over for Harry to have his first encounter with a Lamb, very cute! We also realised this lamb was only new born that day!

Little Ribbons Stamp

I was very excited yesterday when I got home and found a little package from America in the post! It was my custom made stamp from Etsy seller Love to Create Stamps. I purchased this stamp to make my own swing tags for my products and also to stamp my brown paper bags ready for markets. I searched Etsy and found some great options but couldn't go past the classic wooden stamp over the more modern self inking stamp. Here are some pics of the end result, I LOVE it!

Madeit Monday

This week I have been browsing the net to get my hands on some beautiful Japanese linen fabrics. These fabrics are all so fantastic I am having trouble deciding which ones to buy. So as I sit and brows the Internet looking for linen and wondering what Madeit finds I can feature this week I thought I would search 'linen' on Madeit and I'm glad I did. Here are just a few on my favorites...
